This is a narrow river and so not accessible to all types of boat. Navigation is easier in a south to north direction, departing from the marina at Bas du Fort.
Access to the river is dependant on the opening of a bridge, at 5 am.
The trip must be undertaken with particular care and attention being paid to undercurrents, narrow passages and shallow waters.
