Guadeloupe is made up of 2 isles, separated by a narrow band of water, each one quite different from the other.

Grande Terre has many beautiful beaches sheltered by coral reefs, as well as numerous lively touristic villages; Basse Terre, on the other hand, is covered with a dense tropical forest and is dominated by a volcanic range.

Guadeloupe is also an archipelago which owes its attraction to the many tiny islets that surround it, each one having its own distinct way of life.
